Highly skilled Craftsman, Byran who runs workshop enjoys teaching people skills in wood craft and creating bespoke pieces for customers, “We get all sorts of reclaimed timber from large pieces, cut offs and even wooden palettes which we then use to transform into other great products. The best thing about this is that all the materials are donated to us. Nothing goes to waste we use everything given to us. By resuing and recycle everything we are helping the environment whilst providing a wonderful service.”
Another important factor is the social impact the Woodcraft Centre brings to the lives of local people experiencing mental ill-health. This gives them a place to learn new skills, develop ways in working with woodcraft in a friendly positive environment.
The aim of the Etsy shop is to use the funds from products to go back into the social enterprise and support more people experiencing mental ill-health and providing more opportunities for them, so buying a product will contribute to this cause.
