YMCA DONCASTER CALLS FOR TALENTED LOCALS

Wednesday 2 December, 2020

Staff at YMCA Doncaster are calling on local families to step into the online spotlight in preparation for "Virtually Christmas" celebration later this month.

All types of performance are welcome, with each lasting up to three minutes. Singers, dancers, magicians and more are all welcome. Acts can be made up of any family members fitting the current Covid rulings and can be filmed on mobile phones using landscape mode.

"This isn't about professional performances," explains YMCA Executive Olivia Burton, "We're looking for ordinary families who have performers in the home. We've had a saxophone player, a poetry reading and even a cocktail-making demonstration submitted so far."

A perfect opportunity for anyone who has learned a new skill during lockdown, or for those who would usually share their party piece with extended family over the upcoming holidays, Virtually Christmas is open for submissions until 10th December. An online portal is provided via https://ymcadoncaster.org.uk/virtuallychristmas/

YMCA staff will collect performances together for an online celebration to be streamed on 21st December.
