An exhibition of photographs by Sharon Boothroyd looks at what prayers reveal about our inner lives. Describing the creation of the images, Sharon says:
"After finding prayer cards in a church I became interested in other peoples' prayers as a way of learning about our shared inner desires and wishes. I discovered online prayer forums where people post their prayers anonymously. I selected and edited some of these prayers down and created photographic interpretations for them. I realised that, at some point in my life, many of these prayers had subconsciously been my own."
The exhibition is at the White Cloth Gallery, Aire Street, Leeds until 17 July 2016.
Monday to Friday from 11am – 7pm Saturday 12noon – 7pm
Admission is free
