Candy Bulsara presents The Ballet Collection

Exclusive perfumes created in Denmark – where body chemistry and fragrance art unite in grace.

Candy Bulsara is a Danish perfume brand that has already resonated with perfume enthusiasts and niche fragrance connoisseurs. With The Ballet Collection, the brand introduces six extravagant perfumes, inspired by the movements of ballet and the natural chemistry of human skin – now available for press coverage and new collaborations.

The brand is founded by Monika Kovacs – trained perfumer and flavourist – with a background as flavourist at Chaplon Tea, where her work with rare and pure raw materials laid the foundation for her unique approach to modern perfumery. Ingredients rarely used in commercial fragrances are given new life in her handcrafted compositions.

Her main expertise lies in creating tailor-made perfumes – bespoke scents developed from an individual’s skin chemistry. The same personal approach forms the basis of The Ballet Collection: six perfumes, each based on one of the six primary skin chemistry types, making it possible for everyone to find at least one fragrance that blends seamlessly with their natural scent profile.

Monika collaborates with small farmers in Sri Lanka and the Middle East, with direct insight into fields and production, ensuring full transparency regarding the origins of her most important ingredients. These visits also make it possible to identify new, valuable raw materials, and it is deeply rewarding to be able to support small farms and their families.

The collection is crafted with exquisite ingredients such as aged Ceylon agarwood, sandalwood, jasmine sambac, vetiver, and saffron – many sourced directly from small producers in Sri Lanka and the Middle East.

The perfumes are produced in Denmark at very high concentrations (extrait de parfum), using only pure grain alcohol and free from colorants and preservatives.

The six perfumes in The Ballet Collection are among the most concentrated extracts available on the global market today.

Extrait de parfum is the highest quality in perfumery, with a concentration of around 30%. It is softer and rounder in character because it does not have the sharp alcoholic opening that eau de parfum (15–20%) or eau de toilette (8–10%) can have. Extrait de parfum is also distinguished by its exceptionally high concentration of natural ingredients, which not only provide a deeper and more nuanced fragrance experience but also ensure remarkable longevity on the skin.

About Candy Bulsara Parfums

Candy Bulsara Parfums was founded in 2015 with the ambition of bringing personal fragrance artistry back into the world of perfumery. Since then, the company has specialized in bespoke perfumes, created from each individual’s unique skin chemistry.

What especially characterizes Candy Bulsara’s work is the use of rare and often overlooked raw materials, which demand both technical precision and creative understanding. Many of these ingredients – such as aged Ceylon agarwood, sandalwood, mahleb, true jasmine sambac, vanilla orchid, and wild spices – come from small farms in Sri Lanka and the Middle East, and are used only in the highest concentrations (extrait de parfum), without added colorants or unnecessary substances.

In late 2024, the brand launched its first collection to a wider audience: The Ballet Collection – a series of six extrait perfumes inspired by the grace of ballet and based on six main skin chemistry types. The collection has already been well received among niche perfume connoisseurs and those seeking a fragrance that feels instinctively right.
