Teenage Cancer Trust hands over Charlie Miller Hair4U project to The Little Princess Trust

Friday 17 May, 2019

After more than a decade of incredible support, Teenage Cancer Trust has handed over wig provision services for the fantastic Hair 4 U project around the UK, to The Little Princess Trust.

In 2007, after chairing a discussion group responsible for the pioneering Hair 4 U project, Charlie Miller OBE teamed up with Teenage Cancer Trust to provide free real-hair wigs to young people affected by cancer.

Teenage Cancer Trust has now handed over the reins of this project to The Little Princess Trust; an internationally renowned charity that provides free real-hair wigs to children and young people experiencing hair loss as a result of cancer treatment or other conditions.

In addition to free wig provision, The Trust also funds vital research into finding better treatments for childhood cancers and since 2016, has funded research into a broad range of cancer types and a variety of less toxic, more targeted treatments.

Joint Managing Director of Charlie Miller, Jason Miller says: ‘We are thrilled to have found such an esteemed and experienced partner in The Little Princess Trust, to continue the fantastic service that Teenage Cancer Trust, Charlie Miller, and all the participating Salons* throughout the UK, have provided since 2007.’

Phil Brace, Chief Executive at The Little Princess Trust says ‘We are so honoured to be collaborating with Charlie Miller; our Trust has long-admired the project and we are looking forward to continuing the wonderful work started by Charlie Miller and Teenage Cancer Trust.’

Dawn Crosby, Interim Head of Regional Services, Teenage Cancer Trust says ‘After more than a decade of working with Charlie Miller and a network of highly successful and professional salons across the UK to provide real hair wigs to young people through the Hair4U project, we are delighted to hand over the reins to The Little Princess Trust and believe it is the perfect partner to continue this amazing work.’
