With an ageing population in the UK there is a significant increase in loneliness and social isolation this impacts on both physical and mental health well-being.
Senior Friends has created an on-line Friendship Community based presence, a place where you may find new friends and you can share your thoughts and aspirations, join in various discussions either via the on-line chat interface or the soon to be launched forums.
We target the over 50's and offer Free Lifetime Membership, we do not have any form of advertising on the site and do not plan to monetize in any form.
Whilst we are not a Dating Site we have taken advice from the On-line Dating Association with regards to security and profile validation, additionally we work with Scamalytics – A premier UK based service who use the latest fraud detection techniques to ensure our members have a safe on-line experience.
Senior Friends is operated and maintained by Suheyla Hussein, Chartered Psychologist and John Berman, IT Project Manager – we cover the various hosting and development charges. We do this as we see Loneliness as a huge social issue and rather than just hearing about this we decided to do something.
