PRESS RELEASE

Ryan Moore becomes a Racing Welfare Ambassador

World-renowned flat jockey Ryan Moore has been announced as a Racing Welfare ambassador. The three-time champion and current leading international jockey was offered the role in recognition of his ongoing support for the charity.

Ryan has consistently supported Racing Welfare along with presenting the prizes to the stable staff who took part in the inaugural running of The Clock Tower Cup stable staff charity race.

Dawn Goodfellow, Racing Welfare's Chief Executive, says: “We're delighted that Ryan has accepted our invitation to become a Racing Welfare ambassador.

Ambassadors are people who understand the importance of Racing Welfare's role in looking after the racing industry's workforce. Through this they help us share that message within the wider racing community and inspire others to support us.

I am certain that having Ryan's support will help introduce Racing Welfare to a range of race-goers and racing fans who were not previously aware of the work the charity does for the stud, stable and support staff of British Racing.”

Ryan joins a roster of ambassadors which includes Mike Cattermole, Mark Davies, Richard Dunwoody MBE, The Hon Dido Harding, Lee Mottershead and Nathanial Parker.

Ryan Commented “There are so many hard working stud and stable staff who play such a vital role in our sport. Without their dedication we simply wouldn't have any racing. It is important to recognise that it is not just the jockeys who are exposed to the risks of riding racehorses. I am delighted to be an ambassador for Racing Welfare who do so much to support racing's workforce”
