Join the World Child Cancer ‘Go Gold’ walk in Dulwich College grounds

Tuesday 1 September, 2015

To recognise Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (September 2015), World Child Cancer has launched a Go Gold awareness and fund raising campaign.

The money raised during the September campaign, and throughout the rest of the year, will help treat and care for children with cancer in the developing world. Every donation, no matter how small will make a big difference and save lives; for example just £10 could provide effective pain relief for four children for a week in Malawi, £25 pays for accurate diagnosis for 10 children in Bangladesh and just £50 would provide life-saving chemotherapy drugs for a child in Ghana.

Join our Go Gold walk to raise awareness
One of the main Go Gold events, which will help raise awareness about the work of World Child Cancer is a 10km walk in the beautiful grounds of Dulwich College, London on Sunday 27 September.

The route for the walk takes in the outstanding features of the College grounds, including the theatre, the fields and the woods. For those needing refreshment on the day, there will be a fundraising cake and drinks stall, as well as a raffle at the end of the walk.

Walkers are encouraged to raise additional funds through sponsorship and on the day there will be the opportunity to purchase limited edition Go Gold badges, ribbons and the opportunity to have your face painted, for a small donation, to further enhance the Go Gold theme.
