UK manufacturer Integral Memory has targeted the laptop ‘make-over’ market with a keenly priced SSD that promises to breathe life into your PC and give you a welcome increase in performance.
The V Series SSD has been specified to boost the performance of existing hardware and to extend the useful life of a current laptop.
“Effectively, the V Series is intended to invigorate a laptop or desktop, by speeding up OS boot times and quickening the response of office applications,” states Samik Halai, Senior Product Manager at Integral Memory.
Users upgrading from older HDD devices will experience the benefits of Solid State storage the most. The V-Series drives read up to 540MB/s* and write up to 400MB/s* and with no mechanical parts, the replacement units operate at low power, critically extending the battery life of your device when mobile. SSDs are also far less likely to fail compared to mechanical drives and prove a reliable alternative, whilst operating silently and with zero heat.
The V-Series SSD 2.5 inch form factor slips easily into system cases and connects with a SATA III 6Gbps interface and is backwards compatible with SATA 3Gbps and 1.5Gbps.
