Hope Spring Launches T-Shirt Website to Boost Fundraising

Wednesday 29 May, 2019

International development charity, Hope Spring launched a new website, called Hope Spring Tee on Wednesday the 28th of May 2019. The website was created following the unexpected popularity of the cap and t-shirt worn by Hope Spring Water volunteers at their first fundraising event in May 2019.

Hope Spring spokesperson, Evgeniy Garkaviy said “it was not our original plan to launch a clothing shop this year” He added that “ when a relatively large number of people attending our plant sale and coffee morning event asked, if they could buy the t-shirt and baseball style hat worn by our volunteers, we decided why not?”.

All the proceeds from items sold on Hope Spring Tees are donated directly to Hope Spring Water, to fund their clean water projects. Speaking about how a supplier was sourced for items sold on their new online shop, one of the trustees of Hope Spring, Mr Temi Odurinde said “given that UN sustainable development goals are one of our guiding principles, we took our time to ensure items sold on our site are organic and produced with sustainability and good production ethics in mind.’’

The charity expects its new website to raise enough money to build a borehole for a community of one hundred and fifty people in Africa, by the end of 2019. You can find more information about Hope Spring Tees on their Facebook page or follow their Twitter page for additional updates.
