Copas Turkeys, Beef, Chicken & Gin Show in 2024 Great Taste Awards

Cookham Dean farm’s products complimented on taste and quality throughout.  

LONDON, 31 JULY 2024, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The 2024 Great Taste Awards have been issued, and Copas Farm Shop, a.k.a. Copas Traditional Turkeys, received stars for six products.

• The company’s famous Free Range Bronze Whole (Very, Very Special) Turkey received one star

• Sister brand The Thoughtful Producer’s Whole Free Range Chicken, Chicken Wings, and Chicken Breast Fillets each received one star

• Copas’ first foray into spirits, Small Batch Rosemary Gin, received one star

• And Copas’ Galloway Beef Rump Steak received two stars.

Having won awards for three consecutive years, Copas Farm Shop / Copas Traditional Turkeys is officially a “Great Taste Producer.”

• Copas Free Range Bronze Whole Turkey: “This generously-sized, golden, succulent turkey has a mouth-watering aroma and juicy appearance that makes you want to dig in.”

• Thoughtful Producer Whole Free Range Chicken: “This beautifully golden-skinned, deeply aromatic bird surprised us by the depth of flavour in the white meat.”

• Thoughtful Producer Chicken Wings: “The firm, succulent meat holds together well and delivers the desired taste, which is pleasant on its own, and would also carry sauces or marinades well.”

• Thoughtful Producer Chicken Breast Fillets: “These are plump examples of chicken breasts with skin colouring suggesting corn feeding.”

• Copas Galloway Beef: Rump Steak: “This juicy and great-looking piece of meat is so full of meaty, umami flavours that we can taste the age running through it."

• Copas Small Batch Rosemary Gin: “A pleasant nose of juniper and coriander, along with a citrus mix of grapefruit and lemon… a light gin which would suit classic light cocktails.”
