Chav Church BBQ Brings Community Together

A BBQ hosted by Lincoln’s renowned ‘Chav Church’ this weekend saw massive support from the Moorland community, bringing hundreds out for a day of fun in the sun at The Backies.

The Moorland Community BBQ event was organised by the Darren Edwards of the Ignite Elim ‘Chav Church’ based at Moorland Community Centre in an effort to bring local people together.

The event, ran in partnership with YMCA Lincolnshire’s The Showroom Activity Centre, saw a number of exciting, interesting and fun activities on offer.

Activities included Parkour & Freerunning, Climbing, Inflatable Assault Course and Slide, a Bouncy Castle, Football, Softplay, Karaoke, Facepainting and more!

For those not persuaded by the excitement, they were drawn in with the offer of a free BBQ, making a lovely day with gorgeous weather for the young people, families and the wider community.
