Activities for young people from £1 during May half-term

YOUTH Partnership North East Lincs have a number of affordable and exciting activities for young people during the May half-term, with prices starting at just £1 per event.

The activities will be held across North East Lincolnshire between 31 May and 4 June and organisers are urging people to book now and avoid disappointment, as places are limited.

Beginning on Tuesday 31 May with a Climbing Wall session at Grimsby’s Ghetto Park on Freeman Street, the activities will take in seven different locations in North East Lincolnshire, ending with arts and crafts at John Whitgift Academy in Grimsby on Saturday 4 June.

Having held a number of successful activities during the February half-term and Easter holidays, organisers are hoping for another great turn-out this time around.

Penny Thompson is YMCA Humber’s Senior Community Organiser and she is looking forward to young people from across the area taking part in a number of fun activities.

She said: “We had such success in February and Easter that we didn’t want to disappoint in the May holidays.

“Our previous sets of events have given us a good idea about the sorts of activities that are really popular with young people and we have tailored what we are offering to suit that.

“We have some new activities this time around too, like dodgeball and cookery and we have a new venue in John Whitgift Academy.”
